Band Saw
Author Last Post
Thanks and have fun with Drill Press.
I bought a 19" 3 HP Grizzley.  Thanks for the tip on the blade.  I will get one.  So far I love the saw.

I have purchased a floor stand drill press and a 42 inch lathe from Grizzly and I am very happy with both.

If you are buying a bandsaw for resale purposes deftly by a bandsaw big enough to handle a 1 inch blade and purchase a carbide tipped blade as soon as you can.

The carbide tipped blade will give you a smoother cut yielding last waste and it will cut several magnitudes faster than a silica steel blade.

Inasmuch as it takes significantly less force to feature material through a carbide tipped resolve blade you enhance the safety of yourself significantly, because you have more control.

Have you explored upgrading your current saw? Most saws have available an extention for increasing the resaw height. I don't see that buying the Grizzly would increase safety. Otherwise the Grizzly is probably a good buy. Most of their stuff has been well rated in comparisons I have seen in woodworking magazines. I have been happy with my purchases from them.

I am going to upgrade my band saw.  I would like better resaw capabilities (safer) as well as more cutting height.  I am looking at the Grizzly 19" Heavy Duty G0514X.  Trying to stay in the $1,000-$1,500 range.

Any words of advice

Thanks
