Sawmill days is a function of the International Wood Collectors Society. It is open to anybody who is interested, and not only do they have logs, they usually have some lumber pre-cut and for sale by the board or whatever you want. Prices are very low, something like $4.00 for an 8', 6" wide board. Usually 3 or 4 sawmills running,  Mostly local wood but hey, this is Indiana and we have the good stuff. Logs can be purchased and cut to your specification, they can also be shared and sometimes a partial log can be purchased. I have gotten lumber, turning blanks and plywood there over the years and have always had a good time to boot.. All proceeds go to the local 4-h clubs.
Sorry, June 2nd 9am till the logs are done.
It is definitely happening - I talked to Bob Chastain at The Woodworking Show.  I am attempting to get more information from him that I will pass along as soon as I get it.  His farm is at 3904 E State Road 234, Ladoga, IN.

When I hear back from Bob I will pass on more details.

For those members that have not heard of Sawmill Day. It is at Ladoga, Indiana, and Bob brings in logs to his farm, and several people that have portable saw mills. You buy the log, and the saw mills cut it for free. All of the monies (including lunch) go to the local 4-H clubs. This is not a club event, however several club members do go. I did a You Tube video on the 2015 day. https://youtu.be/xyUpQYt04Lo

I am surprised that no one knows if this is happening this year or not.
It’s always the first Saturday in June or this year June 2.
As a new member I don't know what sawmill day is can you explain it for the new members?

Does anyone know when Sawmill Day will be this year. I think it is usually around the first of June. Heard anything about this year?
