Vince here, unlike most of you, I am getting old and at some point will need to train my replacement. Since I have a few good years left in me, I came up with a plan and it is related to the State Fair. I ran it past Kathy and she gave me the ok. This year I want to introduce toy making kits for the booth. I designed a kit for kids at the fair to buy and assemble their own toys. I made 10 Tractor kits based on August 2024 tractor design. See the picture below.
What I need is for a couple of members to cut and sand ten bodies of that toy and a few more to cut and sand the bodies for the Rat Rod (January 2024). I will assemble the bags with instructions for sale at the Fair. If you would be interested in cutting the bodies of either toy and bring them to the June meeting, let me know. I am thinking two or three volunteers cut enough bodies for 30 or 40 kits to test market at the Fair.
If they sell great, if they don't we can assemble them for our 10,000 toy target. My thoughts are we hook these fair going kids into making toys and then recruit them as members and eventually one of them takes over my job. In business its call succession planning.
Thanking you in advance.
Vince
