Thanks for the recommendations. The consensus was white or off white. I literally just bought paint whose color is "Off White". I'm finishing mudding the dry wall and will paint later this week. I'll post how it looks after painting. Thanks again.

If you plan to do any tinting, staining or color matching of repairs in that area of the shop, you want a white or neutral light gray wall and ceiling color.
Most of the light in your shop will bounce off walls and ceilings Any wall color will slightly affect how your eye perceives the color of your finishes.

Rick, how much time do you spend in the shop? What makes you happy? Plain white is always a good color, but if you want to feel like your at home then pick a color. Blue with white crown mlg, green walls with dark green chair rails. I went with light blue walls, dark Grey chair rails and baseboards and topped it off with two chandeliers. Lighting is awesome. Curtains on the windows. When it gets dusty, that's what Leaf blowers are for. HAVE FUN!! I used Kilns. It's a primer and can be had in water or oil base and covers almost anything. The paint gives a soft white color, Brightens your shop, and highlight items on the walls. And can be tinted. Good luck.

I would not recommend the 6500k version. It’s like looking into the sun. The 5000k is the ones I have.

These are the lights I installed my shop/garage.
I have a 3 car garage. I installed 10 of these 8’ strips. Super easy install and not very expensive.

Hot pink is most likely not a good choice. I suspect a bright white would be best. Helps the lighting.
